چکیده
for DDGS relative to MSP were 84.3% and 85.3% for fibula breaking load and fibula bone ash, respectively. The basal diet + 500 FTU/kg phytase resulted in greater fibula breaking load (18.7 vs 13.7 kg force) and bone ash (1.049 vs 0.896 g) as compared with the basal diet, resulting in calculated P release of 0.082 and 0.064%, respectively. The 0.225% P DDGS + 500 FTU/kg phytase also resulted in greater fibula breaking load (31.9 vs 24.6 kg force) and bone ash (1.681 vs 1.389 g) as compared with the 0.225% P DDGS diet. Taking into consideration the response from soybean meal, phytase supplementation resulted in complete P bioavailability from DDGS. These results indicate that the bioavailability of phosphorus in DDGS is approximately 85% with the remaining phosphorus liberated with additional phytase.

Strategies of European Fleckvieh Cattle Breeding to Optimize Dual-purpose Breeding Particularly for Beef Production
The Fleckvieh breed, while internationally recognized as a dual-purpose breed is primarily used as a beef production animal in Ireland. However because of ever increasing pressure to improve efficiency, it is now accepted in Irish cattle breeding that beef production characteristics should be included in the national dairy cattle breeding programme. This development was accepted following a com...
متن کاملMilk and Beef Production in Temperate Climates
Milk production in the temperate climates accounts for 66% of the world milk output. In North America only about 20% of beef originates from dairy herds, while in Europe beef production is a by-product of dairying. Several studies showed small genetic correlations between milk and beef traits, thus suggesting the possibility of simultaneous selection for both .characteristics. European breeding...
متن کاملKappa-casein Genotypic Frequencies in Russian Breeds Black and Red Pied Cattle
Casein is a family of milk proteins that exists in several molecular forms and is the main protein present inthe bovine milk. The B variant of bovine k-casein is reported to be favorable for quality and quantity of cheese derived from milk and considered to be included in breeding strategies of dairy cattle. Genotypes of72 Russian Black Pied and 80 Red Pied cows were determined for ...

Introduction The decline in fertility reported from 1960 to early 2000’s (Lucy, 2001) was the motive for prolific research in dairy cows, which in instance lead to identification of multiple culprit factors for this impaired reproductive performance in dairy cattle. (Norman et al., 2009; Santos et al., 2004). Reduced fertilization, embryonic survival, and high prevalence of anovulation in dairy...

This study was an attempt to devise productive orientations of cattle herds in eastern high plains of Algeria. In this regard, 165 farms randomly identified were investigated. The selection of breeders was based to existence of cattle on the farm, and the farmer proposed to investigation must have at least two cows. The approach taken was to identify all systems adopted by farmers in a region t...
